Yoga is a deeply connecting practice, giving people an insight into themselves. Pantanjali, the patron saint of Yoga said “mastery combines a balance of science and art”.

Combining the knowledge from both human anatomy and physiology, with a little effort toward spiritual awareness, are key to improving performance, experiencing fewer injuries and cultivating health, happiness and a greater sense of self awareness and consciousness.

Geelong Myotherapy and Wellness Centre believe that Yoga is an approach to life that values balance and harmony. The body, breath and mind are united to encourage internal peacefulness, greater clarity and a heightened integration of being.

A regular Yoga practice, will allow clients an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their body, mind and emotional well-being, which inadvertently will assist with the ongoing injuries and physical pressures that lead them into a treatment room in the first place.

Our regular Foundation Yoga classes on our timetable will focus on a range of many different techniques. including postures and movement, breathing and breath awareness, concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.

These classes are open to any student, young or old, beginner or experienced with a focus on creating an environment that is inclusive, all embracing and supportive.

What do our Foundation Yoga classes look like at Geelong Myotherapy and Wellness Centre…?

  • A gentle introduction that encourages breath control and awareness (pranayama), setting an intention and combining the rooms energy to set up for a connected practice
  • Traditional Yoga Asana (poses or postures practiced in Yoga)
  • Vinyasa (stringing together poses in a flowing sequence)
  • Inversions or Arm balances
  • Savasana (‘corpse pose’, resting pose and meditation)

Obviously this is not a set structure, but rather an idea of what to expect for those people new to Yoga but eager to give it a go!

What we do promise is that ALL classes at Geelong Myotherapy and Wellness Centre will be an experience, a personalised experience, that will leave you feeling that little bit more connected to your truth…the real you.

What do I need to bring to a Yoga class?

Yoga mats and Props are provided, but please feel free to being your own mat if you have one you prefer to practice on. Water, sweat towel and minimal items.

Rooms are heated to a comfortable temperature.

Tuesdays: Vinyasa Flow 6.30am – 7.30am (All levels welcome)

Casual Class: $19.00

5 Class Pass: $87.50

10 Class Pass: $160.00
